TBC: Proj 2 Public Critique
Yes completing my last design for the fall semester. Basically it consist of a countdown (SMPTE Leader) they use in rolling old films. The concept of my project is the dying down of a house party and rather showing people, the shoes fill in as the characters and different personalities. Wanted to focus on showing shoes that are left right near the front door and giving that perspective that we don’t really focus on during a party.
This one is my first revised cut, using the warm lighting that i set up for the shoot.
This cut uses a technique called “color seep” starting off with a high saturation, lowering it and eventually creating a neutral color (showing the party dying down).
Tell me what you think, and which one you find is stronger with concept. Kind of getting lazy with this but i gotta hand it in tmr by 9am.
Crazy. Have a lot of respect for those who do stop-motion all the time. Had to re-shoot again to get this footage (from 7pm–4am)

TBC: Proj 1 Public Critique
Yes my latest post is about school, i need your help! Want to get your opinions and critique for my Time-Based Communications project.
Video features different visuals and sounds that are suppose to convey a certain concept.
You can comment the two videos based on these questions:
• What is the concept?
• How do visual/aural elements, the structure and pacing work to support the concept?
• Anything you find unanswered or confusing?
• What are this project’s greatest strengths?
Thanks a Lot guys!

Kanye West’s “Runaway” (Short Film)
Last weekend Kanye gave his world premiere debut for his Short Film “Runaway” a mixture of story, abstract art, very dynamic visuals, and a good soundtrack. Check it out if you missed it or wanna watch it again!
Pure genius! Truly the expression of a REAL artist! By request i actually ripped the tracks from the short film into mp3 files and also included Good Friday’s “Devil in a New Dress” and “Don’t Look Down (The Phoenix Story)”. If you really like these tracks make sure you support Kanye on November 22 by buying his new anticipated album with the full tracks from the film.

Sights & Views in T.O. during the Fall
Over the thanksgiving weekend I decided to go downtown to take a couple of city shots for my communication design course (which i must start soon!). But since i was out anyways i decided to take a bunch of pictures from Centre Island and around Queens Quay. Took over 300 shots but these were the best ones.

PASS: ABDC Master Mix Sudden Death Round!
Blogging Best Dance Crew has been putting out a contest for the past 13 weeks to name the dance routine title track and the crew. It started from 10 seconds with a quote from a judge down to 3 seconds (track only). Last week featured the FIRST tie-breaker featuring 30 three second tracks one after the other. It was crazy i had to go from season 1-5 and back to cause i was trying to figure two more tracks. Intense!
Found out some got a perfect score in 2 hours after the challenge was posted!
Try it your self see how many tracks you can get on the first listen, i only got 17 correct.
Yes now you see where i’ve been wasting my time…2nd Tie breaker tmr said to be featuring a video with no music but some breakdancing?? Competing against 11 other people with perfect scores.

The CS4 Problem The Heavy Duty Upgrade
This meant to be posted awhile back now i got CS5 lol works perfectly thanks to the upgrade.
This year as a part of our tuition we were able to get the whole Adobe CS4 Master Collection at Sheridan (originally its about $1000+) with all the software and programs needed in the design program. I was really excited to finally have an official copy besides those other ones from previous years...the problem was that it wouldn’t download at all! It would freeze then you can hear my mac making a loud noise trying to run the damn thing. I even deleted my CS3 software before and it was just messed up.
So after finishing my 2nd year I decided to visit the Apple Store to see what i can do. I got my iMac back in 2007 so i was thinking its too old to run these new software. The solution was to upgrade my mac installing 4GB of RAM (from originally 512 MB) to run the program a lot faster.

Another Round of “Keys N Krates”
Had to watch Keys N Krates once again (saw them TWO weeks ago) cause they are amazing live! This time they were at Sheridan College, once again not a lot of people but still great cause i really love their sets and song selections.
Seriously you gotta watch this group when you have a chance, they are too good and also they’re from Toronto.
Too bad they wouldn‘t allow me to bring my DSLR i had to use my phone instead…
There was only about 50 or 60 people, but they know how to control the crowd.
See now it seems like the room is full, got people moving and all that fun stuff. Really wanna hear them at club it would be too perfect.
You can download their music free off their blog:

The Long Days
Two weeks into school and i am hella tired. Actually slept on the bus for the first time so pretty much shows lack of energy and sleep, but still no All–Nighters yet! There’s just a lot to do now and trying fit in the time for everything. But i really enjoyed this past week with work and a free concert!
First off Free N*E*R*D concert! Didn‘t know that was possible for York lol
Keys N Krates were one of the openers at the concert. They are some really sick performers from Toronto and they’re meant to be heard live.
Awesome to watch them for the 3rd time but it was really good that they got to perform different tracks from their past albums.
There was only about less than 200 people there so it was a pretty nice private concert.
Yeah it got that crazy…lol
There was a pretty good review of the concert on theneptunes.org
Got the new camera out on Friday and took some pics:
Really nice weather for the fall season.
The TEL building where i spend most of my time at the labs.
I love this pic it likes a miniature model
A really nice residence area
I believe this is part of the library gets confusing sometimes looking at the buildings from outside cause they look so different inside.
School on a Friday night…i know
